Daniel Lee Gossett, 77, formerly of St. Louis, died April 3, 2006, at his home in Chaffee, MO.
Born Aug. 4, 1928, in St. Louis, son of the late Carl Jackson and Thelma Laura Brown Gossett, he served in the U.S. Navy and was a chemical operator for 25 years for Mallinckrodt Chemical Co. in St. Louis.
On June 18, 1979, in Matthews, he married Evelyn Long Reeves who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Mary Reeves; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Billy Ritter and Leann and Kurt Knuckles; and three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, four nieces and one nephew.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Sensmeyer.
Visitation was at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services were conducted. The Rev. Cliff Day, pastor of First Baptist Church of Chaffee, officiated.
Burial with full military honors provided by the Missouri Military Funeral Honor Guard followed in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
