BLAIN - Elsie E. Amig, 88, formerly of Blain passed away on Monday, November 3, 2008 in the Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home, Carlisle.
Elsie was born August 13, 1920 at Bear Gap, PA in Northumberland County to the late E Lee and Ruth M. Lorman Swank.
She had been a seamstress at Nightcraft, Sunbury; a cook and a housekeeper in Manheim.
She was preceded in death by her companion, George P. Sites; a daughter, Virginia I. Kessler; a granddaughter, and a great-grandson.
Surviving are two sons, William H. Amig and Terry L. Amig, both of Elizabethtown; two daughters, Mary Lee Crowl, Elysburg, and Josephine I. Ruoss, Manheim; a brother, Lear Swank, Danville; a sister, Mildred Flickinger, Silver Springs, MD; 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, November 7, 2008 in the Nickel Funeral Home, 3626 Shermans Valley Road, Loysville, PA 17047 (717-789-3107), with the Rev. Robert Koch officiating. Viewing will be from 10-11 a.m., Friday in the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in the Blain Cemetery.
