Dr. Mann was a retired physician who specialized in internal medicine. He was born the son of Clifford and Marie Granger Mann. He was a graduate of Kankakee High School, the University of Illinois and the University of Illinois Medical School. He did his residency at the University of Illinois. He was a former member of local and state medical associations, former president of the Kankakee County Health Department board and current board member of the Kankakee Country Club. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, where he was a Eucharistic minister, former president of the St. Martin School board and was on staff at Provena St. Mary's Hospital and Riverside Medical Center.
Surviving are his wife, the former Barbara J. Galassini, whom he married Sept. 6, 1958, in Chicago; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jeffrey Mann of Chicago, Dr. Jonathan and Jennifer Mann of Norfolk, Va.; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Kristi and Marc Wakat, Linda and Brian LeRoy, all of Kankakee, Karen Evans, Jennifer and Thomas Cornelius, all of Westfield, Ind.; 13 grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Ralph Dau of La Canada, Calif.; and one brother and sister-in-law, Loren and Linda Mann of Vero Beach, Fla.
