Charles Jerry Jarrell, son of the late Raymond Lawrence Jarrell and Jennie Davis Jarrell, was born September 5, 1936 in Dexter and died in the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter on May 29, 2002 at the age of 65. Mr. Jarrell was affiliated with the First Assembly of God Church in Dexter, worked in the accounting department at the Sikeston Wal-Mart and a resident of Dexter. On June 29, 1974 he was united in marriage to Lulu Owens of Dexter. Mrs. Jarrell survives of the home in Dexter. Besides his wife he is survived by one son, Charley Jarrell and one step-son Michael Harmon both of Dexter; by one daughter, Terri McClintock of Fayetteville, Arkansas; by one daughter, Phyllis Rogers of Dexter; by two sisters, Nita Lee Bittner of St. Peters, Missouri and Mary Lou Schrinker of Dexter; by four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Besides his parents Mr. Jarrell was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl M. Jarrell during World War II, Maurice Raymond Jarrell and John Raymond Jarrell both in infancy. Visitation will be held at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, May 30. Funeral Service will be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Chapel at 3 p.m. Friday, May 31 with Rev. Andrew Lovins officiating. Interment will follow in the Sadler Chapel Cemetery with Rainey-Mathis Funeral home in charge of the arrangements.
