Bountiful, UT - Margaret Olie Pearce, age 91, died Nov. 2, 2008. Born Sept. 29, 1917, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Johannas and Anna Olie Noorlander.

Married Carl Woodrow Pearce Jan. 11, 1937. Marriage solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple June 2, 1937. Margaret attended schools in Utah and California, worked in administration and food services in the Southern California area, retiring from South Bay Hospital. She was an active member of the LDS Church serving in many leadership positions and working in the St. George LDS Temple for eight years. She was a gifted artist - painting and teaching painting in the St. George and Hurricane area for 20 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn (LeGrand) Lamb of Farmington, UT; brother, James (Darleen) Noorlander of St. George; two sisters Pearl Miller and Juanita Reisner; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband; son, Carl Daniel Pearce; daughter, Joan Madge Frazier; three brothers and a sister.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 8, 2008, at 11 a.m., at the Hurricane City Cemetery, Hurricane, UT. Friends and family may call on Friday, November 7, from 6-8 p.m., at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 W. St. George Blvd., St. George, UT. Arrangements under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary 435-673-4221.
