Ollis Burns was a resident of Wichita Falls for 40 years. He operated Burns Tire Shop. He was also a Pvt in the US Army.

He was married Jan 18, 1936, in Wichita Falls, TX to Opal Frances Chaney 7/30/1920-7/30/1998.
He married Jessie L Redden in Wichita County, Oct 16, 1975.

Six daughters, Mrs Sherry Emery of New York, Mrs Nona Francis Blackwell of Iowa Park, Mrs Jo Linda Lobdell, Mrs Jean Ann Carroll, Mrs Judy Jackson and Mrs Charlotte Alney all of Wichita Falls.

Three sons, Ollis & Darrell Burns of Wichita Falls and Mike Gilhert of Dean, TX.

Seven brothers including Joe Burns of Jacksboro, TX and Jessie Burns of Winters, TX.
One sister, Bessie B Wallcurn of Wichita Falls, 24 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Ollis Ray Burns, 64, died Thursday in a Wichita Falls hospital. Services well be at 2 pm Monday in Owens & Brumley Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Eric Johnson, assistant pastor of Victory Baptist Church, Burial will be in Crestview memorial Park.
