Peter Herman "Pete" Rice, 82 of St. Louis, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 15 in City Hospital there. He was born June 24, 1898 in Arkansas, a son of the late Wm. Riley and Molly James Rice. He is survived by two brothers, Wid Rice of Corning and Ed Rice of Pontiac, Michigan; two sisters, Mrs. Odessa Bell of Oklahoma and Mrs. Vada Hogue of Dalton; and five grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Jim Carter officiating. Burial followed in Reynolds Cemetery with McNabb's in charge. Pallbearers were Gordon Rice, Paul Cooper, Dan Neubauer, Doug Blackwell, Earl James, and Fred O'Neal. (PSH)

Pete was the father of Lavell Rice of St Louis, Missouri, who preceded him in death.
