Cause of Death: Shannon was Hit and Killed by a truck on her way to school. 10-5-1989. She had been so excited that day when she went to school, because she was going to go with her Mother the next day to watch her Mom run a marathon in St. George.

The skywalk on 4700 So and 3200 West was built because of this death and was dedicated to Shannon. It was named the Kinder Walk.

My sweet Granddaughter Shannon, you were such a beautiful little girl. I will never forget the bond that we shared.
I will love and Miss you for as long as I live.
It really killed all of us especially your Mom the day you were taken from her. You will remain in our Hearts forever sweetie. Rest in sweet eternal peace blue eyes.

Shannon's beautiful blue eyes were donated to give some other child the gift of sight.

THANK YOU TO ALL LEAVING FLOWERS FOR MY SWEET GRANDDAUGHTER SHANNON. IT MEANS SO MUCH.

Poem I wrote for Shannon:

Shannon
You were two when I met you-
The sunshine was in your hair-
You were such a beautiful child-
Your beauty was beyond compare.

You sat on my lap and bounced on my knee-
And smiled your sweet Shannon smile-
The sparkle in your pretty blue eyes-
Expressed a love that was true-
Our blue eyes met - Yes we were a set-
"Our link to the family tree."

I'll always remember your smile-
I'll always remember your hug-
I'll always remember what you have-
Always meant to me.

I'll never forget our talks-
I'll never forget our walks-
There will always be our memories.
The times we laughed - The times we cried.

There has always been a special bond-
Between you and me. Why? Oh Why?
Did that bond have to be broken?

I shall carry you in my heart-
From here to eternity.
Remember our Love-
Remember the good times we shared.

Shannon my babe- I will miss you more
than words will ever say.
I believe I lost part of my heart,
The day they took you away.
The day I lost you.

You were something precious.
You were something special.
And you will always be carried in
My heart Forever.

Love Grandma Esther
