Mrs. Alma Fowler, wife of John W. Fowler of Pittsboro, died in the Methodist Hospital, Sunday after being admitted the day before. She was 73 years old, born near Lizton, the daughter of Amos and Sarah Brammell. She was married to Mr. Fowler of Raintown and they were the parents of three sons, Harold, of Lewisburg, Pa.; Percy and Raymond, Washington, D. C. A daughter, Mabel Louise, died in 1918.
The Fowlers operated a grocery business in Pittsboro several years ago. The family also lived in Lizton and the state of Mississippi. Last November they returned to Pittsboro for residence after living in Washington, D. C. 30 years.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the home in charge of the Rev. Arthur Howell, with burial in the cemetery east of Lizton.
Survivors are the husband, the three sons, who attended the services, and three grandchildren.
