Stacy M. Liles St., 57, of 700 W. 27th St., died Wednesday in St. Francis Hospital. He had lung cancer.
Mr. Liles, an air conditioner and refrigerator technician, owned Superior Appliances in Wilmington for 15 years. Before that, he worked at Sears Roebuck & Co. for two years and was a policeman in Philadelphia for six years.
He was a member of Rising Sun Masonic Lodge 2.
He was a member of Union Baptist Church, where he was a trustee for 14 years.
He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and the Korean War and received a Purple Heart.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita P.; two sons, Stacy Jr. and Vincent, both of Wilmington; two daughters, Cheryl Liles and Kim Newsom, both of Wilmington; three brothers, Charles of Philadelphia, Harold M. and Earl, both of North Carolina; four sisters, Wilhelmina Raiford of New York City, Joanne Mitter of Philadelphia, Marjorie Smith of Wilsons Mills, N.C., and Geraldine Thomblison of Smithfield, N.C.; and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 8 p.m. Sunday in Union Baptist Church, 26th and Carter streets, where friends may call after 6 p.m. Burial will be Monday morning in Riverview Cemetery.
