HILDA LINDBERG CLARK

BOUNTIFUL/Tooele-- Hilda L. Clark died November 10, 1994 at the age of 89 of causes incident to age.

She was born to John Alfred and Effie Susanna Dunn Lindberg, January 17, 1905 in Tooele, Utah.

She was educated in the public schools of Tooele and attended Brigham Young University. She married Marcellus Ratcliffe Clark in the Salt Lake Temple on August 18, 1926.

Marcellus preceded her death in 1978.

Hilda was an active member of the LDS church and served in many leadership capacities in various auxiliaries of the church, and particularly those that involved her musical talents -- directing several ward and stake choirs for many years.

She conducted extensive genealogical research, compiling records for the Clark, Ratcliffe, Huntington, Lindberg, White and Dunn lines. She was active serving in community positions in the P.T.A., Tooele Women's Club, Emma J. Atkin D.U.P. Camp, and the Tooele County D.U.P.

Hilda Clark is survived by twin sons: John L. Clark (Janet), now serving in the Philippines Ilagan Mission, and Edwin L. Clark (Joyce) of Las Vegas, Nevada; a daughter, Marlene (Winslow) Young of Centerville, Utah. Hilda was preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Edith Joy (Robert) Barrus in 1981.

She is survived by 26 grandchildren; 77 great grandchildren; and two great, great grandchildren.

She is also survived by four brothers and three sisters: Alfred, Mark, Paul and Ralph Lindberg, Elna Williams, Edith Brown and June Walton. She was preceded in death by a sister, Esther Walker and a brother, Alan Lindberg.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 17, 1994 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mueller Park 7th Ward, 1800 East Mueller Park Road (1800 South), Bountiful, Utah. Friends may call at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, Wednesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Thursday at the church from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Grantsville Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
