Capt C. W. Bahrt
Capt W. William Bahrt, 57 former local resident known to many friends here as "Captain Billy" died Tuesday night at the home of his brother, Capt. Arthur C. Bahrt, in Tampa. At the time of his death he was the oldest pilot in seniority on Tampa Bay and had been piloting ships from the bar at Egmont Key for 27 years. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Luddie Bahrt, two sons, Carl W. Bahrt, Jr Petersburg, VA and Robert G Bahrt, Asheville, NC; his brother and two sisters, Mrs. Roy Latham, Miami and Mrs. Marie O'Brien, Santa Ana, Calif. Funeral Services were to be conducted this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock in Tampa.
