Nora Ellen Bender was born at Louisville, Nebraska, April 24, 1888, daughter of Samuel and Rose (Millen) Bender. She spent her youth there in her parents home. She died at the home of her son, Harold, July 11, 1964, at the age of 76 years.
She was married to Frank Joseph Linden May 10, 1910. They made their home in Omaha for a short time, moving to the Elder Grove community southwest of Litchfield in the winter of 1912.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three sisters, and one brother.
Survivors include three sons, Harold, Alva, and Frankie all of Litchfield; two daughters, Mrs. Berniece Hansen of Litchfield and Mrs. Ruby Smith of Mason City, 16 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Rudy Masilko of Omaha.
