My 3rd great-grandmother, Moanah (Naomi,Amy) Hamilton Warren Vincent, was born on 6 Mar 1803 at GA to parents John Hamilton and Rebecca Holoway Hamilton She married Martin Warren in GA on 24 Dec 1822.

She was named an heir in the will of John Hamilton (her father) dated 30 Mar 1827 at Newton Co, GA. Moanah, James, John and William were probable household members living with Martin Warren on the 1830 Census on 1 Jun 1830 at Walton Co, GA.

In the name of God amen One Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty Seven and in March the 30, I JOHN HAMILTON of the State of Georgia and Newton County, being in my proper mind and perfect senses and memory do make this my Last Will and Testament. At the same time utterly revoking all former wills made by me declaring this to be my last will and testament.

First, I do leave unto my son CADER HAMILTON two Negro boys by the names of Tom and ?Cobb. Also I leave all the land on or lying on the southeast side of the Spring branch running through the said lot, or tract of land numbered two hundred and seven in the Sixteenth district of Henry County, now Newton County. Also the Spring with one quarter of an acre of land round the Spring.

Also I do leave (or loan) my son GEORGE K. HAMILTON one Negro man by the name of Steven. Also a Negro boy by the name of Washington. Also I do leave the balance of the lot mentioned two hundred and seven in the above mentioned district and County. With the exception of the use of the same for my wife REBECCA HAMILTON for life time, then he is to have possession of said land also. I leave unto my said son GEORGE K. HAMILTON the lot numbered in the plan of said district One hundred and ___ Eight in the sixteenth district of originally Henry now Newton, which lot son GEORGE is to have possession of at my decease. Also I do give unto said son GEORGE a bay horse, which horse he is to have at my decease.

Also I do leave unto my daughter ELIZABETH MANNING a Negro girl by the name of Sarah, also a Negro boy by the name of Henry. Also I give unto her two hundred dollars at my decease, or when called.

Also I do leave unto my daughter NANCY WARREN one Negro woman by the name of Ann, also one Negro boy by the name of Isaac, also one Negro girl by the name of Louisa.

Also I do leave unto my duaghter MOONAH (or MOANAH) WARREN one Negro girl by the name of Silva, also one Negro boy by the name of Solomon, also at the death of my wife REBECCA HAMILTON I leave MOANAH one Negro woman by the name of Mary.

Also I do leave unto my daughter JANE NORTON one Negro girl by the name of Matildy, also one Negro boy by the name of ?Jagob, also one Negro boy by the name of Willis.

Also I do give unto my son GEORGE K. HAMILTON at my decease one young cow and calf, also one feather bed and furniture. All the property as mentioned at hand in the above written will to my several sons and daughters. Also as mentioned in the above will I also, at their death, will to their lawful issue, or the lawful heirs of their bodies, if they have any, if not, at their death, the property that I have leaved to them to them, as mentioned in the above will, to be equal divided amongst their brothers and sisters lawful issues.

I now mention what I leave to my wife REBECCA HAMILTON. I leave unto her one Negro woman and child by the names of Mary, the child the name of Mahaley, her lifetime. Also I give her two hundred dollars. When called also I do give unto her a certain gray mare, also the cattle and hogs to be for her use. Also she is to have what of the household and kitchen furniture she stands in need of. I also will that the lands stay together untill they make the crop and gather it. Then enough of it left her to support on the next year. All the balance of the crop and also all the balance of the property to be sold next fall with the exception of one bay mare which I give to my daughter JANE NORTON. Whenever what money is owing to the estate, together with what money is arriving from the sale of what property is not mentioned in the above will is collect first pay the debts. Pay to ELIZABETH MANNING, also pay to MOANAH WARREN, also pay to NANCY WARREN Fifty dollars each, in consequences of their not having had as good horses as the others of my children.

I also make and leave CADER HAMILTON and GEORGE K. HAMILTON as my executors to settle all my business and to attend to the settling of all my affairs according to the will in testimony Whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal the year and day above written.

Amy died 21 Dec 1879 and is buried in the Maloney Springs Cemetery, Cobb Co, GA. The cemetery is on the corner of South Cobb Drive and Austell Road, just west of Dobbins Air Force Base near Marietta. She is buried near her oldest son, James B Warren, Memorial #11822746. Name on her stone is spelled "Naomi."
