Mrs. Alice A. Wollam, 82, of Jasmine Dr., Lake Placid, Fla., former area teacher, died Monday at 8 a.m. a the Humana Hospital in Kissimmee, Fla., following a long illness.

Virtually a lifelong St. Clair Township area resident, Mrs. Wollam was born in East Liverpool, Jan. 16, 1902, a daughter of Clarence Azdell and Lulu Hickman Azdell.

She taught in the Beaver Local School District's junior high and Calcutta Elementary schools and in Winona and former Negley and Oak Grove Elementary Schools.

She was graduated from East Liverpool High School, and attended Kent State University and East Liverpool Kent State Campus.

She was a member of the Calcutta Presbyterian Church, and a life member of Ohio and National Retired Teachers Association and the American Association of Retired Persons.

Besides her husband, Carl Wollam, whom she married June 14, 1924, survivors include a son, Joseph Wollam of Minerva; two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Prokop of St. Joseph, Mo., and Frs. Flora Decker of Kissimmee; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Martin Funeral Home by the Rev. John Mattis.
Burial is to be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday afternoon and evening.
