American Director, Producer and Writer. Awards Nominated Director in the Venice Film Festival for the Golden Lion in 1957 for "The Story of Esther Costello" with Joan Crawford and Rossano Brazzi. During his career from 1930 to 1980 he played in several films. His screen credits include: "Billy the Kid" (1941) with Robert Taylor and Brian Donlevy (The color remake of a 1930 movie of the same name), "Flying Tigers" (1942) with John Wayne, John Carroll and Anna Lee, "Love Happy" (1949) with the Marx Brothers and Ilona Massey, "Diane" (1956) with Lana Turner and Pedro Armendariz, "The Opposite Sex" (1956) with June Allyson, Ann Sheridan, Ann Miller and Joan Collins. David died in 1992 in Los Angeles, Usa.

Cause od Death: Cancer.
