Funeral services for Gene Dunn, 85, of Muskogee, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home. Mr. Dunn was born August 28, 1921 in Maud, Oklahoma, the son of Hiram Dunn and Julia (Tribbey) Dunn and died September 23, 2006 in Muskogee. He married Alice Cherry on January 7, 1942 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Mr. Dunn was an insurance salesman. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Alice in 2000. He served in the United States Army. He really loved people and all of his customers when he was selling insurance. Survivors include his two daughters, Brenda Baughman of Muskogee, OK; Beverly Bailey of Kilgore, TX; one brother, Glenn Dunn of Dallas, TX; sister and brother-in-law Fern and Bill Wyatt of Pauls Valley, OK; one sister-in-law, Juanita Pickens of Shawnee, OK; one cousin , Walter Tribbey of Chouteau, OK; and one grandson, Kenny Baughman of Muskogee, OK, his fiancé Leslie Echols of Muskogee, OK; and two great-grandchildren, Shawn Echols of Muskogee, OK, and Brittani Echols of Muskogee, OK. Numerous nieces and nephews. Arrangements are under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home, 2801 Chandler Road, Muskogee, OK.
