Mr. Lela Hunter was born ( April 12, 1880) in Walker County. Her childhood days were spent in Walker County, Huntsville, Texas.
She united with the Pine Bluff M. B Church at an early age. She was married to Mr. Walter Hunter. To this union seven children were born.
She departed this life September 27, 1973 in Huntsville Memorial Hospital. To mourn her passing she leaves two sons, three daughters, and a host of grand-children, great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
