June Wilcox, 76, of Blue Mound, died 11:05 AM Wednesday, October 1, 2003, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.Funeral services were Friday, October 3, at the First Christian Church of Blue Mound. Visitation was Thursday, October 2, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Burial was in Hall Cemetery, Blue Mound. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Blue Mound or Blue Mound Memorial Library.June was born December 2, 1926, in Decatur, the daughter or Robert and Bessie (Botoner) Uhll. She married Robert "Peck" Wilcox on January 19, 1946. He preceded her in death on October 1, 1999.She was a member of the First Christian Church of Blue Mound. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper for the State Bank of Blue Mound and was a member of the 351st Bomb Group Association of the 8th Air Force.She is survived by her son, Trent Wilcox and wife Kathy of Decatur; daughter, Roberta Friesner and husband Jim of Decatur; grandchildren, Lynn Wilcox and wife Tammy of Blue Mound, Kari Foster of Decatur, M'Lynda Damery and husband Brian of Decatur, Chad Probst of Scottsdale AZ; great grandchildren Kayla, Paige, Taylor, Kaitlyn, and Jesse; sister, Jayne Albers of Blue Mound; and her beloved cat, Baby.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers.
