Funeral services for Virgil Buck Jackson Jones of Sanatorium were held Saturday afternoon from Mims Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. P. O. Nix and Rev. L. P. Anders officiating. Interment was in Goodwater cemetery with Mims Mitchell Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Jones, 43 years of age, died Thursday at the State Sanatorium after a lengthy illness.
Survivors include one son, Virgil Jones, Jr. of Morton; two brothers, Hollis Jones and Robert Jones, both of Mt. Olive; six sisters, Mrs. Homer B. Stevens of Hattiesburg, Mrs. V. A. Bynum of Mendenhall, Mrs. Henry McKinley of Collins, Mrs. Veuiris [sic] Dennis of Mt. Olive, Mrs. Edna Dennis of Jackson and Mrs. Walter Bishop of Prentiss.

Uncle Buck was a veteran and died with tuberculosis. He was hospitalized at the Sanatorium in Magee, Mississippi for many years.
