DANIEL, WASATCH COUNTY – James William Orgill, 8r died Friday at the home of a son in Upton, Summit County, following a long illness. His daughter, Mrs. Darrell (Fern) Prescott resides in Heber City.
He was born Apr 2, 1887 in Daniel, a son of Mark and Rachel Isabell Smith Orgill. He married Ina McDonald on Nov. 3, 1915 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died Dec. 23, 1969.
He was a school bus driver in Wasatch County for 25 years. He served as watermaster and director of the Daniel Irrigation Co. Active in LDS Church work, he was a member of the Daniel Ward Bishopric and was YMMIA superintendent for 20 years. He served a Wasatch Stake mission.
Surviving are sons and daughters, Bernell W. Orgill and Mrs. James P. (Maurine) George of Salt Lake City; James Boyd Orgill and Mrs. William L. (Betty) Woodall of Bountiful; Merrill, Upton, and LaRay Orgill of Murray; Clive J. Orgill of Sandy; Mrs. James (Ora) Higgenbotham of Kearns; Mrs. Darrell (Fern) Prescott of Heber City; and Mrs. Veral (Wanda) Mair of Granger; 31 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and the following brothers and sisters, Joseph Orgill of Layton; Mrs. Maude Massey of Vernal; Mrs. Minnie McGuire of Bountiful; Mrs. Anabelle Moulton of Victor, Idaho; Mrs. Ethel Webb and Mrs. Neb (Dora) Webb, both of Daniel.
Funeral will be Wednesday at l p.m. in the Daniel LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at Olpin Mortuary in Heber City, Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday prior to services. Burial will be in the Heber City Cemetery.
