Her place of birth is given as Massachusetts on the 1860 census, Maryland on the 1880 and 1900 census. On the 1900 census it is stated she had been married 28 years, was the mother of 4 with 1 living. According to the notice of her death she was stricken while out shopping from heart disease and died shortly after reaching home an hour later. Her husband died in Essex County, Massachusetts on 17 Aug 1921.
