Michelle ""Shelly"" Silcox Shimer
Our Shelly, age 41, passed away in her mother's home Sunday evening Oct. 19, 1997 after a very courageous battle with brain cancer.

Born July 28, 1956 to Robert S. and Marie Laney Silcox in Murray, Utah. Married Marvin L. Shimer of Baltimore, MD; later divorced. Michelle grew up in Riverton, Utah, graduated from Hillcrest High 1973. Attended technical college and graduated from the Police Academy 1988, later working as a deputy constable.Always a lover of horses and the outdoors, she was involved in 4-H and various riding clubs. Michelle lived for her three children and was happiest when with her family.

Survived by her three children Amanda, Andrew, and Mark; mother, Marie Silcox of Riverton; brothers and sister, Stephen (Gail) of Sheridan, WY; Denese (Chris) of Salt Lake; Scott (Dora) of Riverton. Michelle was preceded in death by her father, Robert in 1993.

The family would like to thank the wonderful women of the Riverton 20th Ward for the countless hours of compassionate service that was given.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Riverton 20th Ward 13400 So. 1855 W. Friends may call Wednesday eve. from 6-8 p.m. at the Broomhead Funeral Home 12600 So. 2200 W. and Thursday, one hour prior at the church. Interment at the Riverton Cemetery.
