Memorial services for Alma E. Brichford, 90, of Willoughby, a homemaker, will be 3 p.m. On Sunday, August 19 at Davis Trust 100 Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brichford died July 24, 2001 at Western Reserve Convalescent Home in Kirtland.
She was born June 4, 1911, in Kirtland, and was a 1930 graduate of Kirtland High. She resided in Kirtland, Waite Hill, and Chesterland before moving to Willoughby 45 years ago.
She was a member of the Kirtland Grange and the Chester Pythian Sisters Lodge. She enjoyed sending cards and letters to her many friends and relatives and was an avid Indians' fan, rarely missing a game on the television.
Survivors are her children, Frances (John) Fontes of W. Covina, CA., Ida (Kenneth) Sowers of Willoughby, Melva (Garry) Wright of Mentor, and John (Joan) Brichford of Madison; 17 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; seven great-great- grandchildren; and many friends and relatives.
Her parents, Maude and Lyman Fenner; husband, Clarence E. Brichford; brothers Arland and Nelson Fenner; sisters Gladys Miller, Mildred Fuller, Blanche Potter, Katherine Leggat and grandson John E. Brichford II are deceased.
Her family is grateful for the visits and loving care she received in her last days.
Friends may call 2 to 3 p.m. August 19 at the funeral home. Elder Kenneth Sowers Sr., Elder Kenneth Sowers Jr. and Kevin Sowers will officiate at services.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Prince of Peace Church of Mentor or Hospice of the Western Reserve, Heisley Rd., Mentor.

Being the youngest of seven, Alma was called Babe by her siblings.
