FREDERICK ANDERSON, farmer, son of William Andersen and Henrietta Berntzsen, was born in Falster, Denmark, February 11, 1851. His parents emigrated to Utah in 1852 and settled in this city, where he was raised as a farmer. He owns forty-five acres and a nice home in the city. During the past fourteen years he has engaged in threshing grain, owning one-fifth of a new machine. He has been a lumberman and farmer and in politics is a Democrat. Has served five years as Street Supervisor and was appointed again in January, 1898. He served two years as a member of the City Council and three years Road Supervisor for Manti district. His wife, whom he married in Salt Lake City June 8, 1872, was Sarah A., daughter of F. W. and Cordelia Cox, born in Iowa April 10, 1851. They have had nine children: Rosella, Frederick, Byron, Cordelia, Mary, Lydia, Emerett and Ruth, living; Henrietta, deceased.
