PALMER, MR. JAMES RUBLE - age 95, of Maynardville, passed away 3:10 a.m., Tuesday, January 26, 1999, at Sunrise Healthcare Center. He was of the Methodist faith. A member of J.C. Baker Lodge #720 F&AM for 71 years. Preceded in death by: parents, Fate and Mary Ann (Baker) Palmer; brother, Green Palmer; sister, Bonnie Monroe. He is survived by: loving wife of 64 years, Ethel (Western) Palmer, Maynardville; daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Jim Sharp, Sharps Chapel; sister-in-law, Monte Palmer, Maynardville; special nephew, Clyde Monroe; several other nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends; special friends, Vivian Steiner, Bruce and Peggy Warwick. Masonic service 8 p.m., Wednesday at Cooke Mortuary Chapel conducted by J.C. Baker Lodge #720 F&AM with funeral services following, Rev. Frank Brooks officiating. Music by Oak Grove Singers. Interment 11 a.m., Thursday in Pleasant View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Knoxville Chapter of Alzheimer's Association. A special thanks is extended to the employees of Sunrise Healthcare for their loving care given to Ruble. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at Cooke Mortuary, Maynardville.
