Brian Keith Sheppard passed away on Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, at the age of 36 years, from complications from type I diabetes.

Brian was born Dec. 19, 1971, in San Antonio, Texas, to James Allen and Suzanne Moczygemba Sheppard.

He was preceded in death by his father and his grandfather, Ignatz August Moczygemba.

Brian is survived by his mother, Suzanne Sheppard; a daughter, Jordan Haley Sheppard; his brother, James Anthony Sheppard; his grandmother, Mary Mutz Moczygemba; aunts and uncles Elsie and Bobby Dee of Houston, Ed Moczygemba of Dallas, Thomas Moczygemba, Harry Moczygemba, Charlene and Carl Friedsam, Rose and Jeff Ellis, Joanne and Rodney Birt, and James Moczygemba, all of San Antonio; and his nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation was held Sunday, Oct. 19, from 3-5 p.m. in the Mission Park Funeral Chapels South in San Antonio, which included a beautiful slide show celebrating Brian's life.

A rosary was recited Sunday at 7 p.m. by Monsignor Frank Kurzaj in the Holy Name Catholic Church in San Antonio.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. in the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Cestohowa with Monsignor Frank Kurzaj and Father Andrzej Waszczenko as celebrants.

Interment followed in the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Cemetery in Cestohowa.

Serving as pallbearers were Ed Moczygemba, Thomas Moczygemba, Harry Moczygemba, James Moczygemba, Brent Ellis, and Eric Birt.
