William S. Davidson, 75, of near Harrisonville, died April 12 in Harrisonville Memorial hospital. He had been in failing health five years and was hospitalized five days.
Death was due to a cerebral thrombosis.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Minerva Davidson of the home; five daughters, Mrs. Elsie Eileen Phillips of Kansas City, Mrs. Lloyd (Eveline) Carver of Houstonia, Mo., Mrs. Jas. C. (Gloria) Luckett of Harrisonville, Mrs. Wade (Betty Jean) Hicks of Harrisonville, and Miss Annetta Davidson of the home. Eight grandchildren also survive.
Son of William and Alice Davidson, Mr. Davidson was born Aug. 17, 1884 in Pleasant Hill and was reared here. He spent his life as a farmer in the Pleasant Hill and Harrisonville vicinies (sic vicinities).
His first wife, Miss Elsie Pearl Wilkin, died in 1921. He married Miss Minerva Ann Johnson in Harrisonville May 27, 1925.
The Rev. W. R. Tucker of Harrisonville conducted the funeral at the Brownfield-Stanley chapel last Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Lawrence Griffith played a program of organ selections. Pallbearers were Tom Johnson, Ted Johnson, William Davidson, Allen Davidson, Tommy Hale and Jim VanHoy, all nephews of Mr. Davidson. Burial was in Pleasant Hill cemetery.

(Note: Jim VanHoy was not a nephew but the son of Bill's first cousin, Charles and Clara Vanhoy. Charles' father was Dr. William Watson Van Hoy, a brother of Bill's mother, Alice Annette)
