Born September 1, 1907 in Heber City, a son of Isaac and Thea Anderson Jacob. He married Leah Broadbent, September 12, 1934, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She passed away December 18, 1991.
Wendell graduated from Provo High School and Brigham Young University. He worked for his father in the sheep business. He served an LDS mission to England. He did post-graduate studies at Harvard University. He was an agent for The New York Life Insurance Company and retired in June of 1999. He was a generous man.
He has given years of faithful church service throughout his life in San Diego. He served in various volunteer capacities. He enjoyed reading, learning, and keeping abreast of current events.
Survived by three daughters, Mary (John) Thompson, Elk Ridge, Utah; Naomi (Clark) Gardner, Salt Lake City; and Ruth (Bob) Seegmiller, San Diego; six grandchildren, Bryan (Ewan) Thompson, Kobe, Japan; Karyn (Bob) Mansell, Provo; Diana (Richard) Nelson, Charlotte, North Carolina; Christopher Thompson, Provo; Danielle Gardner, Logan; and Bret Gardner, Salt Lake City; six great- grandchildren; three brothers, Eldon Jacob, Orem; Calvin Jacob, Firth, Idaho; Norton Jacob, St. George; two sisters, Mrs. Boyd (Venice) Fugal, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Karl (Gladys) Burdette, Salt Lake City.
Preceded in death by his son, H. Wendell Jacob, Jr. and brother, Milton E. Jacob.
