William E. Crider, 78, of Chillicothe, formerly of Laurelville, went home to be with his Savior Monday, April 10, 2006 following a short illness. He was born March 18, 1928, to the late Adam Leroy and Ora Alma Herron Crider. He was also preceded in death by his only sibling, Deloras J. Crider Drummond.

Surviving is his wife of 53 years, Joan F. Hippard / Axline Crider; a son, Stephen N. and wife Linda Foard Crider, of Statesville, NC; daughters, Diane D. Crider, of Columbus; Linda K. and husband David Large and Nancy S. and husband Columbus Roberson, all of Chillicothe; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Everett E. Drummond; and a nephew and a niece.

William served in the U.S. Army during World War II and retired from the Chillicothe Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Services were entrusted to Ware Funeral Home of Chillicothe, Ohio.
