NEW OXFORD — William E. Shrader, 85, of 1053 Irishtown Road, New Oxford, died 7:15 a.m. Tuesday morning, June 25, 1991, at The Brethren Home in New Oxford where he was a guest four years.
Born in Irishtown, he was the son of the late Henry and Annie Hufnagle Shrader. He was the husband of the late Marie Hoffman Shrader who died April 11, 1987. He was a member of Sacred Heart Basilica in Edge Grove. He was a retired employee of Hanover Shoe Co. whers he worked 50 years.He was a member of the Adams County Volunteer Firemans Associa¬tion and a charter member of Irish-town Fire Co.
He was the father of the late William Shrader who died in 1972.Surviving are four sons, Richard A. Shrader and Lawrence J. Shrader, both of New Oxford, Gerald F. Shrader of McSherrystown and Dale P. Shrader of Hanover; three daught¬ers, Nadine M. Strasbaugh of Ha¬nover, Suzan L. Wentzel of York and Joanne E. Hemler of Audubon, Pa.; 27 grandchildren and 17 great¬grandchildren, one sister, Helen Walter of New Oxford.
The funeral service will be held Friday meeting at Hicks Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Basilica at 11 a.m. Her pastor, the Rev. George W. Rost, will be celebrant. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
