Funeral services for Ora D. Peek, 91, Athens, were Monday, February 2, at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Irby and Hiram Hutto officiating. Burial followed in the Athens City Cemetery.
Mrs. Peek died Saturday, January 31, at the Athens Convalescent Center. She was born June 7, 1906 in Limestone County.
She was a member of the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ. She was a retired grocery store merchant in the Pleasant Grove community.
She is survived by five sons, William Marvin Peek, Donal Lee Peek, Leon Peek and Kenneth Peek, all of Athens, and Hansel Peek of Decatur; four daughters, Earline Taylor, Mildred Williams, Marie Davis and Sally Holt, all of Athens; 24 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.
