Rev. Dr. Wellesley Wellington Bowdish was the son of Rev. Dr. William Sweet and Phebe (Stanton) Bowdish. He was the husband of Jennie Elizabeth (Campbell) Bowdish. They were married October 21, 1868. Jennie died June 14, 1905. Rev. Dr. Bowdish was a minister in the New York East Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
