Violin solo "Silver Threads Among the Gold" by Eldon Hyde, accompanied by Laura Draney was then rendered, followed by remarks by President Royle S. Papworth, who paid further growing tributes to Bro Leavitt, mentioning that he had taken an active part in the church, had honored his Priesthood and lived an exemplary and successful life.
The closing prayer was offered by C.F. Burton following the song by the choir, "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere". The dedicatory prayer was offered by Leslie Hillyard. The bishop, Lloyd A. Hyde presided over the services and Elona Hillyard was at the organ. Interment was in the auburn cemetery beside his wife who preceded him in death by five years, and his son, Lawrence.
Henry Leavitt and his wife spent several years of their early married life in Tygee where they made their living by "boiling salt." He has worked his ranch and labored for others. As a thresher man he was recognized as being among the best. He was an early riser and specialized in keeping busy. He, in connection with his wife gave a lot of service to the sick in the ward, as Sister Leavitt was a willing and capable nurse.
Those relatives who came in for the funeral were: Mr and Mrs Delbert Leavitt and two sons of Wayan, Idaho, Mr and Mrs Derris Davis of Conda, Idaho, and Mr Harvey Steed and his son Velman of Ogden, Utah.
