Donald F. Burks, 80, was born May 3, 1928, in Bloomington, IN, and died October 22, 2008. Don was a trucker for 30 years; was a boss for National Homes in Clearwater; ran a mobile home park in Corona, CA; had his own car lot in Longview, TX; was a U.S. Navy veteran; and belonged to the American Legion, Orlando FL. He moved to Florida in 1998 and resided in Homosassa.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Survivors include his wife, Sue Burks; 6 children, Ronald (and wife Liliana) Burks of Elk Grove, CA, Richard (and wife Silke) Burks of San Diego, CA, Larry Burks of Mooresville, IN, Debbie (and husband Randy) Vanoy and Donna (and husband Mike) Price, both of Mooresville, IN, Theresa (and husband John) Hughes of Newark, OH; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; beloved pet Tippie Toes; cousin, Rose (and husband Jerry) Smith of Zephyrhills; and close family and friends.
