Born July 20, 1904, in the state of Arkansas, Mrs. Jennings was a daughter of James and Allie Green She moved with her parents to Carthage as a small child. She was married to Benjamin E. Jennings on October 2, 1926, in Carthage. He died Sept. 11, 1945. She was employed for a number of years at the Drake Hotel in the housekeeping department. She was a member of the First Christian Church.
Surviving are a son Clifford E. Jennings, Route 4; three daughters, Mrs. Hazel Bell, Mrs. Shirley Carpenter and Mrs. Winifred Williams, all of Springfield; two sisters Mrs. Grace Rice, Monterey, Calif., and Mrs. Alice Overby, Webb City, 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A daughter Mrs. Florence Williams preceded her in death in 1973.
Services will be 2 P.M. Tuesday at the Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 A.M. Monday."
