James Monroe Jennings Sr. In loving memory of a husband, father, grandfather and friend, Mr. Jennings, 75, Muskogee, Okla., formerly of Sarcoxie, Mo., was born in Tulsa, Okla. on April 8, 1925, and left this life on September 22, 2000, after a long illness. Mr. Jennings is survived by Lela Jennings, of the home, his wife of 53 years.
He is also survived by five daughters, two sons and two brothers. He saw several children into their fortieth decade: daughters, Carole Cravatt, of Savannah, Ga., Leaona Jennings, Carman Jennings, of Muskogee, Okla., Diana Crew, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Fredia Williamson, of Kansas City, Kan.; sons, James Jennings Jr. of Muskogee, Okla., and Dan Jennings, of Tulsa, Okla.; two brothers, Kenneth Jennings, of Lanagan, Mo., and Tom Jennings, of Grand Prairie, Texas; 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both parents, a grandson, a daughter and a son.
Mr. Jennings was considered by those who knew him to be a mighty man, and will be missed by many.
Grave side services will be at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 26, 2000, at Cave Springs Cemetery. Rev. Leo Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Cave Springs Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Housh Funeral Home, Sarcoxie, Mo."
