California Death Certificate shows death at the VA Hospital in Bellflower, had been there 50 minutes prior to death.

I remember grandpa coming to our house in the summer on his way to California. He was sick and wanted to see all of his kids before he died. Walter was the only grandfather I knew on my dad's side. He was my step grandfather.

Interment Greenwood cemetery. Survived by his wife, Lolo Cosby, at the home: 2 sons, Walter R. Cosby Jr., Jack Cosby of Redondo Beach, Calif., and 1 daughter, Mrs. Ollie Rose Frazier, also from Redondo Beach, Calif.; 1 stepsons, Clifford Fontaine of California, Kenneth Fontaine, Tacoma, Wn.; 3 brothers, Ira R. Cosby, Arley Holt and Ardie Holt., all of Spokane; 3 sisters, Mrs. Tina McClung, Mrs. Grace Smith and Mrs. Pearl Cooper, all of Spokane. A great aunt. Mrs. Pearl Fait. Mr. Cosby was born in Spokane and had lived here all his life.
