Mrs. Clara Ethel Shorb , 71, late powers resident, died Thursday, Aug. 20, in Myrtle Point after a short illness.

She is survived by her widower George Albert Shorb of Powers; daughters, Mrs. Glenda Peek of Medford; Mrs. Leah Powers, and Mrs Albert Hyde, Grants Pass; sons, Bill Shorb of Powers; Lowell Shorb of Powers, Scott Shorb of Reedsport; Shirley Shorb of Gold Beach; Joe Shorb of Powers; Dennis Shorb of Myrtle Point; sister, Mrs. Rachel McClellen of Eugene; brother Ben Gant of Myrtle Point; Mike Gant of Maupin, Oregon; and Marion Gant of Powers; 36 grandchlidren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Satruday, Aug 22, at 2 pm, at Church of the Open Bible in Powers. The Rev. Kenneth Stevens of Powers officiated.
