Born August 22, 1918, in Ucon, Idaho, to Joseph Henry and Eleanor Armstrong Mason. She married William Lee Anderson June 19, 1939, in Oakland, Calif.; marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Temple. He died Sept. 22, 1971. Vivienne attended school in the Ririe, Idaho area. She later moved to Grantsville to work for her Uncle Sterl Halliday in his store. This is where she met Lee. Along with her husband, they owned and operated the Anderson Grocery Store in Grantsville for 33 years. She belonged to the LDS Church, and held many leadership positions. Her first loves were her children and grandchildren, her association with the 5th Ward choir, and her involvement with the extraction program. She epitomized the words "service" and "loyalty".Survived by: Four sons and their spouses, Terry L. and Joann, South Weber, Utah; Byron and Corrie, and David J. and Judy, all Grantsville; Dennis W. and Junie, Sparks, Nevada; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Mrs. Daniel (Berenice) Young, Mrs. Charles (Rita) Deming, Belmont (Monte) and Theresa Mason, and Sterling and Lelia Mason, all Idaho Falls; Jack and Dorothy Mason, Roseburg, Oregon; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her two older brothers, Byron D., who died at Pearl Harbor, and Harlan.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 30, in the Grantsville Stake Center, 115 Cherry Street, at 1 p.m. Friends may call Tate Mortuary in Tooele Thursday, 6 to 8 p.m., and one hour prior to the services on Friday at the church. Interment, Grantsville Cemetery.
