The funeral of the late Alanson Bolster was held at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. P. C. Wheeler, Friday afternoon, Rev. W. E. Smith presiding. Interment was in the North Main Street Cemetery. Present at the funeral from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Bolster of Syracuse, Mr. and Mrs. W. Bourne of Willet, Mrs. Hattie Brooks, Earl and John Brown of Norwich, Walter Wheeler of Cortland.

Alanson Bolster, one of the oldest and most esteemed resident of the town of German, died Feb. 19th at the home of his daughter, Mrs. P. C. Wheeler, in the village of Cincinnatus, aged 77 years 4 months. Besides the widow, Mr. Bolster is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Nellie Brown of Norwich and Mrs. P. C. Wheeler, and one son, Joseph Bolster of German.
