He married Georgia Taylor Aug. 15, 1928 in Wallsburg.
He was a sheepshearer, government trapper, carpenter and retired construction worker. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local No. 3, as well as the LDS Church.
Survivors include his widow; a son, Clayton T. (Lois) Gardner, Wallsburg; three daughters, Mrs. Virl (Ellen) Peterson, Center Creek, Wasatch County, Mrs. Robert (Linda) Bird, Salem, Utah county, and Ida G. Gardner, Fruitland, Idaho; 17 grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; two brothers, Ellsworth (Violet) Gardner, Wallsburg, Glen (Doris) Gardner, Lehi; and two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Wall, Wallsburg, and Mrs. Wayne (Emeda) Taylor, Mesa, Arizona.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the Wallsburg Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Olpin Mortuary in Heber City Sunday from 7 – 9 p.m. and at the family home in Wallsburg Monday prior to services. Burial will be in the Wallsburg Cemetery.
