Frank was born in 1895 in New Mexico to Celso Fulgenzio Sebastiano Tatti
and Maria Giuseppa Rosa Vanini . Frank lived in New Mexico until he was 4 yrs
old then he and his family moved back to Biasca, Tessin, Switzerland.
Between Him and his 11 siblings they enjoyed many things in life. In 1912
Frank prepared to take a ship to America he was bound to Mt to help his Aunt
out after the death of her husband. The day Frank left to Italy to catch his ship
he was called back to Switzerland due to a family issue . If it wasn't for Frank
being called back at this time he would of got to Italy and board the ship he was
coming to america on it was suppose to be the Titanic . Lucky enough he was called back and
had to leave few days after the Titanic left. on April 1 from Havre aboard the ship LaBretagne
Frank set sail arriving in New your on April 18 Ship was late getting into port due to
Stopping and picking up Titanic survivors along the way.
By Jan 1936 Frank bought a home in Alfalfa Oregon and by hand he cleared the 80 acres
to prepare it for crops. It was at this time he married Marian G Long...Marian had been married
prior and had 3 Children Jeanne, Marilee, Richard ..in Sept of 1936 Marian who was 7 months preg
had complications due to her being with child and as a result both mother and there daughter
died.
End of march 1938 Frank traveled back to Switzerland and asked Josephine Maiocchi Zini
to be his wife . He Arrived back in New York on April 1 1938 and then took a train back to
Oregon and awaited for Josephine's arrival in Oct of same year. Frank and Josephine were marred
Oct 22 1938. Winter of 1939 they had a son and Feb 1942 a daughter.
They spent many years on farm raising there family and enjoying the memories they made for each other.
once retired they moved to Salem Or and in Jan 1968 Frank passed away .
I never got to meet my grandfather I was born June of 1968 but stories I have heard from my uncle and mother and
his Step Daughter Jeanne My grandfather was a kind loving hard working man I only wish i could
of meet and got to know him.
