Funeral services for Ernest Arnold, 69, of Clovis, were Tuesday at the 16th and Pile Church of Christ.

Gary Bodine officiated. Burial followed at the Texico Cemetery with Steed-Todd Funeral Home handling arrangements.

Mr. Arnold died Aug. 2, in Clovis High Plains Hospital.

He was born Jan 4, 1917, in Texas. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad in 1950and early 1960's. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He operated Dutch's service station at the corner of Grand and Prince streets.

He married Mary Farmer Jan 23, 1940 in Lamesa, Texas.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; five sons, James of Byers, Colo., Billy, Texico, Richard of Lyman, Colo., Roy of Albuquerque and Mike of Texico; five daughters, Rose Arnold, Gibbonsville, Idaho, Peggy Cole, Farwell, Myrle Clay, Arlene High, Joann Dudley and Vicky Rivas, all of Clovis; three brothers, Curtis of Lorenzo, Texas, Bennie of Idalou, Texas, and Don of Clovis; and three sisters, Virgie Hukill of Melrose, Fern Tipton of Roswell and Joyce McCary, Littleton, Colo.

Casketbearers were Dwight Dudley, Joe Rivas, Tim Kellogg, Johnny Rivas, Johnny Philpot, and John Fielder.
