Kay died in a two-vehicle car accident on Saturday in Audrain County, Missouri. Walter Chapman, 73, and his wife, Kay Chapman, 71, died when the Jeep Compass he was driving did not yield to an oncoming car on U.S. 54 at Route 19.
Kay was the daugher of the late Thomas A. and Elizabeth L. Winterbottom; parents of Michael (Robin) A. Chapman, and Matthew (Stacey) A. Chapman; grandparents of Ashley (Michael) D. McLaren, Krista L. Chapman and Jacob A. Chapman. Kay was the sister of Marilyn (Loren R.) W. Ruthledge and John T. Winterbottom.
Kay was a retired biller at SSM Healthcare. She volunteered a lot of her time at New Hartford Baptist Church and at Pike County Christian School.
