Claude BARNFIELD, 73, of 201 Maple St, Christopher, died Wednesday March 17, 1982 in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale after a brief illness.
Mr. BARNFIELD was a member of the First Baptist Church in Christopher.
He was born June 7, 1908 in Illinois to Sherman and Alice ROBERSON BARNFIELD.
Survivors include his wife, the former Fern ODLE; two sons, Larry BARNFIELD of Evansville, IN and Charles L BARNFIELD of Benton; two daughters, Delores MILLER of Mulkeytown and Debbie FARMER of O'Fallon; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren and one sister, Elsie BROWNING of Macedonia.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be at 10 am Friday at Morton and Johnston Funeral Home in Benton. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery in Akin.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 pm today at the funeral home.
