Annie Ruth Gordon Jessen, 76, passed away January 1, 1990 in a Provo hospital.
Born Huntington, Utah, January 17, 1913, a daughter of Samuel Raymond and Catherine Johnson Gordon. She married Royal John Lott, June 24, 1931, Manti LDS Temple, later divorced. Married George Leo Rolph, May 25, 1948, Nephi, Utah, he died April 2, 1957. She married ElRoy Jessen, February 13, 1959, Salt Lake City. He died July 17, 1973. She was a telephone operator. Active member LDS Church, serving in all auxiliaries including Primary and Relief Society President. Also served on Stake Relief Society Board. Served LDS Mission to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Temple ordinance worker in both Manti and Provo Temples. Active in Sanpete Theatre Group, 4-H leader.
Survived by one son, two daugters, Mrs. Donald W. (Ruth) Clement, Aberdeen, Washington; R. Jay Lott, Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Keith (Lavina) Sorensen, Moroni; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond C. Gordon, Orem; sisters, Leah Kirby, Ferron; Phyllis Grange, Huntington. Preceded in death by a son, three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services Friday, January 5, 1990, Mt. Pleasant First LDS Ward Chapel at 2 p.m. Friends call Ursenbach Funeral Home, Thursday 7-9 p.m. and Friday one and one-half hours prior to services. Interment: Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery.
