Garner L. Andrews, 82, of Cecil died Monday at his home after an extended illness. Son of the late James M. and Alice Akins Andrews, he was born Dec. 3, 1893, in Pittsburg, Ill. He was a retired farmer and a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include his wife, Eulas Hall Andrews; one daughter, Latane Powell of Ozark; one son, Billy Hall Andrews of Cecil; two brothers, T.M. of Ozark and J.J. of Cecil; three sisters, Ota Belle Ezell, Nagle DeShan and Ponca Andrews, all of Cecil; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Wednesday at the Cecil Methodist church. Burial was in Cecil cemetery.
