Surviving are his daughter, Kay Warth, of Chillicothe; grandsons, John (Lisa) Warth, of Frankfort and Michael (Lisa) Warth, of Chillicothe; four great-grandchildren, Joe, Kacie, Amanda and Matthew, who lovingly called him "papaw down the street"; a sister, Anne A. Kaplan, of Columbus and many nieces, nephews and cousins. His niece, Jane (Harley) Moss and nephew, James Batty were very special to him and were always doing things for him. He was preceded by a sister, Alice Batty and son-in-law, Joseph Warth.
John served in the Navy during WWII. He retired from Commercial Motor Freight Company in 1982. He loved music and played the organ for more than fifty years. He was also, an avid gardener and grew big beautiful gardens. John loved people and had many friends, he especially enjoyed sitting on the front porch with his special neighbors in the Philclare addition. He will be sadly missed by his loving family and friends.
Services were entrusted to Ware Funeral Home of Chillicothe, Ohio.
