Michael Joseph Rutledge "Joe", 35, died October 22, 2008. Michael was born April 2, 1973, in Reno, Nevada. Michael attended Palo Verde High School in Blythe California. Michael moved to Stockton, CA to pursue his dreams of being a chef. Shortly after, he met and married the love of his life, Lysa Blasina Delgadillo on June 25, 1995 in Lodi, California. Michael and Lysa served 4 years in the United States Army from 1996 - 2000 at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii. They started a family in Hawaii with the birth of their first child, Alisia. They later moved back to Stockton, CA where they had their second child, Matthew. Michael was know by all as a wonderful father and husband. Michael worked for the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Dublin, CA for almost 8 years.
Michael is survived by his wife, Lysa and two children Alisia and Matthew; his mother and father Ellen and Preston Rutledge; his parents-in-law Camilla and Neil Cotton, and Francis and Chris Delgadillo; his sisters Diana Mallett and her husband Mark and Megan Morelock and her husband Matt; his sisters-in-law Sindy Ausmer and Christina Delgadillo; his nieces Victoria Mallett and Aliyah Ausmer; his nephews Carson Mallett and Kyanu Ausmer. Michael was also survived by many more family members and faithful friends.
Funeral Services for Michael will begin Monday, October 27, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. for the viewing at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way Lodi, CA 95240. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Christian Life Center, 9025 West Lane, Stockton, CA 95210. Immediately following, will be the graveside service at Cherokee Memorial Cemetery on Hwy 99 and East Harvey Lane Lodi, CA 95240.
